Getting Around Dublin

Dublin is an easy city to navigate by bus, luas and train which will save you a lot of money on taxis.  You can pick up a Leap card at most service stations or online. You can get any money you have left returned at the end of your trip.

Morning: Following a delicious breakfast in The Cellar why not take a walk to Stephens Green, one of Dublin’s lush green parks filled with wildlife and relaxing spaces to sit. Stephens Green shopping centre and Grafton street are also in that area, why not spend some time shopping and browsing. The streets are filled with local live music and coffee shops. Also within walking distance is The Irish Famine Exhibition, The National Museum of Ireland and The Little Museum of Dublin. Dublin also has much historical architecture and statues to check out!

Some cafes and brunch spots include: Bewley’s Grafton, Butlers Café, Be Sweet Café, Coffeeangle, Beehive Coffee and The Kilkenny Café.

Afternoon: This could be a good time to head over to Trinity College, The Book of Kells is ticketed but worth the wait. Merrion Square also offers another relaxing space and playground for small children. The National Gallery of Ireland also lies just off Merrion Square for all the art lovers, along with Oscar Wilde’s former home. While the local Viking Splash offers an immersive aquatic experience and tour around Dublin City.

Some food spots around here include: Kennedy’s Pub & Restaurant, The Merrion SQ Food Market, L’Enoteca di Napoli, TANG and The Lincoln’s Inn.

Evening: Why not stroll towards the infamous Temple Bar area, filled with Irish culture and atmospheric streets. Soak in the history and live music along the cobblestone roads. There are many attractions within and surrounding temple bar, such as the Rock’n Roll Museum, The Irish Film Institute, The Temple Bar, The 3Olympia (catch a play or show) or the interactive Dublinia experience. Why not check out some local food and history tours, they are a great way to end the day out. Finally find a spot for dinner or make your way back to NORTH here at The Address Connolly for an unforgettable night of food and drinks.

NORTH Eatery offers menus to cater to every meal and taste bud. NORTH delivers a casual, diverse and relaxed dining environment serving international cuisine with an extensive cocktail list, craft beers and specially selected wines. Our chefs are committed to using locally sourced ingredients and we believe that Dublin has some of the best farming land and producers in this country.
